Connecting with your Audience through Print Ads
by Staff WriterGoogle has launched many services which would help any webmaster of today promote his website on the internet by offering webmaster tools to better manage the position of their websites in Search Engine Results Pages (SERP's) as well as their Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising service - Google AdWords, which would help any website earn a great amount of visitors.
However, both of these services are targeted for online marketing purposes. Many websites, like forums and blogs would benefit from offline marketing which would help them get in touch with their audience, especially if you're website is not targeted towards a computer-illiterate audience who don't spend a good amount of time on the net.
According to the Washington Post, it seems that Google plans on expanding their Print Ads AdWords service. When Google first released Google Print Ads (for magazines ), many reacted with a negative attitude when considering how the advertisements were sold - by auctioning them. This discouraged many advertisers, since they would have to bid months in advance to place an advertisement which could be out of stock when the advertisement comes out on print!
Offering to place advertisements on newspapers would give an advertiser a small edge since newspapers are produced on a daily basis and the release of the advertisement would be much earlier than releasing it on most magazines. Furthermore, most newspapers are enthusiastic about selling their newspaper advertisements since many have extra blank space present on their newspaper pages. Google seems to be benefiting the advertisers as well as the newspapers.
